DTC P17A9: Transfer Shift Motor Control Circuit Low [09/2015 - ]: Description

This DTC is output when a short to ground in the high-low transfer shift motor and center differential lock shift motor drive circuit is detected.

  1. While the engine switch is turned on (IG) or directly after the engine switch is turned on (IG) (high-low transfer shift motor and center differential lock shift motor not operating)
  2. Short to ground in the high-low transfer shift motor and center differential lock shift motor drive circuit
  3. 0.5 seconds or more (if directly after engine switch is turned on (IG), 0.05 seconds or more)
  4. 1 trip detection logic
  • Wire harness and connector
  • 4 wheel drive control ECU
  • Transfer shift actuator assembly
