DTC C1A46: Yaw Rate Sensor [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (VSC SYSTEM) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRAC / Trouble Codes.
    5. Check for vehicle stability control system DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2015 - 08/2017] , or refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [08/2017 - ] .
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      Vehicle stability control system DTCs are not output A
      Vehicle stability control system DTCs are output B

      HINT: 

      If the airbag sensor assembly (yaw rate and acceleration sensor) is malfunctioning, DTCs for the vehicle stability control system will be stored. Troubleshoot the vehicle stability control system first.

    Result: 

    B 

    GO TO VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM 

    Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2015 - ] )

    A

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Codes.
    5. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2015 - ] .
    6. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph) or more.

      HINT: 

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    7. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2015 - ] .
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C1A46 is output A
      DTC C1A46 is not output B

    Result: 

    B 

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK 

    Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [09/2015 - ] )

    Result:

  3. REPLACE DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY 
    1. Replace the driving support ECU assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] .

  4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (PRE-COLLISION SYSTEM) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Trouble Codes.
    5. Clear the DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2015 - ] .
    6. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 5 km/h (3 mph) or more.

      HINT: 

      If the detection conditions are not met, the system cannot detect the malfunction.

    7. Check for DTCs. Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR [09/2015 - ] .
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
      DTC C1A46 is output A
      DTC C1A46 is not output B

    Result:

    REPLACE MASTER CYLINDER SOLENOID
