Front Camera Module Communication Stop Mode [09/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA CAN BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    2. Disconnect the forward recognition camera connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R15-5 (CA1P) - R15-11 (CA1N) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Forward Recognition Camera)

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH WIRE CONNECTED TO FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA (CA1P, CA1N) 

    Result: 

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.

      NOTE:

      When connecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected. Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2015 - 08/2019] , or refer to INITIALIZATION [08/2019 - ] .

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      R15-7 (IGB) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R15-10 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      (to Forward Recognition Camera)

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE FORWARD RECOGNITION CAMERA 

    Refer to REMOVAL [09/2015 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
