Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

HINT:

If the result is not as specified, replace the steering pad switch assembly.

Check the illumination.

Component without harness connected
(Steering Pad Switch Assembly)

Connect a battery positive (+) lead to terminal 5 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 8 of the steering pad switch assembly connector.
Check that the steering pad switch assembly illumination illuminates.
OK

The steering pad switch assembly illumination illuminates.

If the result is not as specified, replace the steering pad switch assembly.
