Customize Parameters [04/2013 - 09/2020]

  1. CUSTOMIZE INTUITIVE PARKING ASSIST SYSTEM 
    1. Customizing with the Techstream
      NOTE:
      • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.
      • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.
      • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.
      1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
      2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
      3. Turn the back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly on.
      4. Turn the Techstream on.
      5. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Intuitive P/A / Utility / Customize Setting.
      6. Select the setting by referring to the table below.

        Warning 

        Tester Display Description Default Setting ECU
        Fr Sensor Onset Range Sets the detection operation range for the front center sensors. Wide 0:Narrow, 1:Wide Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Rr Sensor Onset Range Sets the detection operation range for the rear center sensors. Wide 0:Narrow, 1:Wide Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Keep Sense Buzzer Sounds the buzzer when the distance between the vehicle and an obstacle does not change for more than 3 seconds. Avail 0:Not Avail, 1:Avail Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Fr & Rr Buzzer Volume Changes the buzzer volume setting. M2 001:L, 010:M1, 011:M2, 100:M3, 101:H Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Temporary Mute Reset Speed Adjust Sets the vehicle speed at which the temporary mute function resets. 20 km/h 00:System Link, 01:15km/h, 10:20km/h, 11:30km/h Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Temporary Mute Function Sets the availability of the temporary mute function. ON 0:OFF, 1:ON Clearance warning ECU assembly

        Sensor 

        Tester Display Description Default Setting ECU
        Sensor Condition N Makes the front sensors available when the shift lever is in N. Avail 0:Not Avail, 1:Avail Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Reverse Range Front Sensor Changes the operation setting for the front sensors when the shift lever is in R. Fcrn 00:F, 01:Fcrn, 10:F Stop Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Non P/R Range Rear Sensor Changes the operation setting for the rear sensors when the shift lever is in any position other than P or R. R Stop 00:R, 01:Rcrn, 10:R Stop Clearance warning ECU assembly

        Display

        Display Mode All The display mode setting (when the intuitive parking assist system is normal). 01:All, 11:Undisp Clearance warning ECU assembly
    2. Customizing with multi-display
      NOTE:
      • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function can be customized.
      • Be sure to make a note of the current settings before customizing.
      • When troubleshooting a function, first make sure that the function is set to the default setting.
      1. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
      2. Turn the back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly on.
      3. Enter the following menus: MENU / Setup / Vehicle / LEXUS Park Assist.
      4. Select the setting by referring to the table below.
        W/ NAVIGATION SYSTEM

        Display Description Default Setting ECU
        Alert Volume Sets the buzzer alert volume. 3 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Display The display mode setting (when the intuitive parking assist system is normal). Indicator of Display Off not illuminated*1 Indicator of Display Off not illuminated*1 or indicator of Display Off illuminated*2 Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Distance
        Front        		 Sets the detection operation range for the front center sensors. Green*4 Orange*3 or Green*4 Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Distance
        Rear        		 Sets the detection operation range for the rear center sensors. Green*5 Orange*3 or Green*5 Clearance warning ECU assembly
        W/O NAVIGATION SYSTEM

        Display Description Default Setting ECU
        Alert Volume Sets the buzzer alert volume. Level 3 Level 5, Level 4, Level 3, Level 2 or Level 1 Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Sonar Display The display mode setting (when the intuitive parking assist system is normal). On On or Off Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Front Sonar Distance Sets the detection operation range for the front center sensors. Farther*4 Nearer*3 or Farther*4 Clearance warning ECU assembly
        Rear Sonar Distance Sets the detection operation range for the rear center sensors. Farther*5 Nearer*3 or Farther*5 Clearance warning ECU assembly
        1. *1: Sonar indication is available on the multi-display
        2. *2: Sonar indication is not available on the multi-display
        3. *3: Detection range of 600 mm (23.6 in.)
        4. *4: Detection range of 1000 mm (39.4 in.)
        5. *5: Detection range of 1500 mm (59.1 in.)
