REPLACE ECT 2ND SWITCH (PATTERN SELECT SWITCH ASSEMBLY). Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2019 - ]

1. Disconnect the ECT 2ND switch (pattern select switch assembly) connector.

   *a	Front view of wire harness connector (to ECT 2ND Switch (Pattern Select Switch Assembly))

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   G124-3 (E) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   G44-21 (SNWI) - Body ground	ECT 2ND switch (pattern select switch assembly) pushed and held	Below 1 Ω
   G44-21 (SNWI) - Body ground	ECT 2ND switch (pattern select switch assembly) not pushed	10 kΩ or higher

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG
