DTC B2781: Open / Short in Steering Lock ECU [08/2022 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Access / Trouble Codes.
    5. Check for DTCs.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC B2785 is not output. A
      DTC B2785 is output. B

    Result: 

    B 

    GO TO LIN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM (DTC B2785). Refer to  DTC B2785: Communication Malfunction between ECUs Connected by LIN [08/2022 - ] 

    Result: 

    A

  2. CLEAR DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Access / Clear DTCs.
    5. Clear the DTCs.

      Result

      Proceed to
      NEXT

    Result: 

    NEXT

  3. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Smart Access / Trouble Codes.
    5. Check for DTCs.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is output A
      DTC is not output B

    Result: 

    A 

    REPLACE ID CODE BOX (IMMOBILISER CODE ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2015 - ]
