Installation [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL TCM 
    1. Install the 2 brackets to the TCM with the 4 screws.

      Torque: 3.0 N*m (31 kgf*cm, 27 in.*lbf) 

    2. Install the TCM to the engine room ECM box with the 2 nuts as shown in the illustration.

      *a Name Plate
      Front of the Vehicle

      Torque: 5.5 N*m (56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf) 

      NOTE:
      • Install the TCM to the engine room ECM box with the name plate facing the inside of the vehicle.
      • Make sure that water and foreign matter do not enter the engine room ECM box when the engine room ECU cover is off.
      • If the TCM has been dropped or subjected to severe impact, or there any cracks, dents or other defects on the TCM housing, replace the TCM with a new one.
      • Make sure that the stud bolts are securely installed to the engine room ECM box.
    3. Connect the 2 TCM connectors.
      NOTE:

      Be sure to securely connect the 2 TCM connectors.

    4. Connect the 2 ECM connectors.
      NOTE:

      Be sure to securely connect the 2 ECM connectors.

    5. Engage the guide and claw to connect the connector holder to the engine room ECM box.
      NOTE:

      Be sure to securely engage the claw.

    6. Connect the grommet to the engine room ECM box.
    7. Engage the claw to connect the junction connector to the connector holder.

    8. Connect the engine wire harness connector (C).
    9. Connect the engine wire harness connector (B).
    10. Connect the engine wire harness connector (A) as shown in the illustration.
  2. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM ECU COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  3. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [10/2015 - 09/2017], or Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2 [09/2017 - ]

  4. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

    NOTE:

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected.

    Refer to INITIALIZATION [10/2015 - 09/2016] , or Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2016 - 09/2017] , or Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2017 - ]

  5. CHECK AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION SYSTEM 
    NOTE:

    If automatic transmission assembly parts have been replaced, refer to Parts Replacement Compensation Table to determine if any additional operations are necessary.
