Installation [09/2014 - 10/2015]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL AIR FUEL RATIO SENSOR 
    1. for Bank 2 Sensor 1:

      Using SST, install the air fuel ratio sensor to the exhaust manifold LH.

      • SST: 09224-00010 

      without SST 

      Torque: 44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

      with SST 

      Torque: 40 N*m (408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf)

      *A for 2WD
      *B for AWD
      *1 Fulcrum Length

      HINT: 

      • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.). When using a torque wrench with a fulcrum length that is not 300 mm (11.8 in.), calculate the torque specification for the torque wrench and SST based on the "without SST" torque specification (Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).
      • Make sure SST and the wrench are connected in a straight line.
      • Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the air fuel ratio sensor (Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).
    2. for Bank 1 Sensor 1:

      Using SST, install the air fuel ratio sensor to the exhaust manifold RH.

      • SST: 09224-00010 

      without SST 

      Torque: 44 N*m (449 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

      with SST 

      Torque: 40 N*m (408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf)

      *1 Fulcrum Length

      HINT: 

      • Use a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.). When using a torque wrench with a fulcrum length that is not 300 mm (11.8 in.), calculate the torque specification for the torque wrench and SST based on the "without SST" torque specification (Refer to PRECAUTION [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).
      • Make sure SST and the wrench are connected in a straight line.
      • Perform "Inspection After Repairs" after replacing the air fuel ratio sensor (Refer to INITIALIZATION [09/2014 - 10/2015] ).
    3. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.
    4. Connect the air fuel ratio sensor connector.
  2. CONNECT RELAY BLOCK ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the relay block assembly with the 2 bolts and nut.

      for bolt 

      Torque: 8.0 N*m (82 kgf*cm, 71 in.*lbf) 

      for nut 

      Torque: 13 N*m (127 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

  3. INSTALL NO. 4 ENGINE WIRE 
    1. Connect the No. 4 engine wire to the No. 1 engine room junction block. Then, install it with the nut.

      Torque: 11 N*m (107 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.
    3. Install the No. 1 engine room relay block cover.
  4. INSTALL BATTERY TRAY 
    1. Install the battery tray with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 5.4 N*m (55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the fuel pipe clamp.
  5. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CAP WITH AIR CLEANER HOSE 

    See step  2

  6. CONNECT NO. 2 VENTILATION HOSE 

    See step  3

  7. INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 119

  8. INSTALL COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 120

  9. INSTALL ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 121

  10. INSTALL POWER STEERING ECU ASSEMBLY 

    (Refer to INSTALLATION [09/2014 - ] )

  11. INSPECT FOR EXHAUST GAS LEAK 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 10
