DTC B2788: IG2 Signal Malfunction [09/2014 - 10/2015]: Procedure

  1. INSPECT STEERING LOCK ECU (POWER SOURCE MODE SIGNAL) 
    1. Make sure that there is no looseness at the locking part and the connecting part of the connector.
    2. Disconnect the steering lock ECU connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N24-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Steering Lock ECU (Steering Lock Actuator Assembly))
    4. Reconnect the steering lock ECU connector.
    5. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N24-6 (IG2) - N24-1 (GND) Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      N24-6 (IG2) - N24-1 (GND) Engine switch off Below 1 V
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Component with harness connected
      (Steering Lock ECU (Steering Lock Actuator Assembly))

    Result: 

    OK 

    REPLACE STEERING LOCK ECU (STEERING LOCK ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY) 

    (Refer to DISASSEMBLY [09/2014 - ] )

    Result: 

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
