DTC B2650: Slide Sensor Malfunction (07/2015 - 08/2016): Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR DTC 
    1. Check for DTCs (Refer to DTC CHECK / CLEAR (07/2015 -) ).

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      DTC is not output A
      DTC output from "Driver Seat" B
      DTC output from "Passenger Seat" C

    Result:  A

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK 

    (Refer to HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING (07/2015 -) )

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SLIDE MOTOR) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Driver Seat / Active Test.
    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.
      DRIVER SEAT

      OK

      Motor operates normally.

  3. CHECK FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH (SLIDE MOTOR CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the X1 slide motor connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X1-2 - X1-3 Slide switch on 4.8 to 5.1 V

    Result:  NG

  4. CHECK SLIDE MOTOR (FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Reconnect the X1 slide motor connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X1-2 - Body ground Slide switch on 4.5 to 4.8 V

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH - SLIDE MOTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the X10 front power seat switch LH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X10-5 (SSRS) - X1-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      X10-1 (SGND) - X1-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      X10-5 (SSRS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X10-1 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result:  OK

    OK 

    REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH 

    (Refer to REMOVAL (07/2015 -) )

    Result:  NG

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  6. INSPECT SLIDE MOTOR (FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH) 
    1. Disconnect the X1 slide motor connector.

    2. Check if the seat cushion moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

      OK

      Condition Operational Direction
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 4
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1
      Seat cushion moves forward
      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1
      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4
      Seat cushion moves backward

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH - SLIDE MOTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the X9 front power seat switch LH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      X9-3 (SLD+) - X1-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      X9-4 (SLD-) - X1-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      X9-3 (SLD+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      X9-4 (SLD-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result:  OK

    OK 

    REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH LH 

    (Refer to REMOVAL (07/2015 -) )

    Result:  NG

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  8. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING TECHSTREAM (SLIDE MOTOR)

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  11. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH RH - SLIDE MOTOR) 
    1. Disconnect the W10 front power seat switch RH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      W10-5 (SSRS) - W1-2 Always Below 1 Ω
      W10-1 (SGND) - W1-3 Always Below 1 Ω
      W10-5 (SSRS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      W10-1 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result:  OK

    OK 

    REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH RH 

    (Refer to REMOVAL (07/2015 -) )

    Result:  NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

  12. INSPECT SLIDE MOTOR (FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY RH) 
    1. Disconnect the W1 slide motor connector.

    2. Check if the seat cushion moves smoothly when the battery is connected to the slide motor connector terminals.

      OK

      Condition Operational Direction

    1. Disconnect the W9 front power seat switch RH connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      W9-3 (SLD+) - W1-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      W9-4 (SLD-) - W1-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      W9-3 (SLD+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      W9-4 (SLD-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    Result:  OK

    OK 

    REPLACE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH RH
