Data List / Active Test [08/2019 - ]

  1. DATA LIST 
    NOTE:

    In the table below, the values listed under "Normal Condition" are reference values. Do not depend solely on these reference values when deciding whether a part is faulty or not.

    HINT: 

    Using the Techstream to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Reading the Data List information early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time.

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Data List.
    5. Read the Data List according to the display on the Techstream.

      • When there is dirt, water droplets, snow, or other foreign matter attached to the front of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, radar sensor cover or front and back of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly cover
      • When there is foreign matter between the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly and radar sensor cover
      • When accessories, stickers (including transparent stickers) or other objects are attached near the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly, radar sensor cover or millimeter wave radar sensor assembly cover
      • During bad weather (such as rain or snow)
      Front Radar-Temperature Malfunction History Millimeter wave radar sensor assembly abnormal temperature history ON or OFF ON: History of abnormal temperature
      OFF: No history of abnormal temperature      		 "ON" if the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly has been in the following condition in the past
      • When the ambient temperature of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is approximately 70°C or higher or approximately -30°C or less

      If this item is "ON", cool or warm the area surrounding the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly
      Front Radar-Low Voltage History Millimeter wave radar sensor assembly low voltage history ON or OFF ON: History of low voltage
      OFF: No history of low voltage      		 "ON" if the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly has been in the following condition in the past
      • Voltage is approximately 10 V or less or approximately 16 V or higher

      After turning the power switch on (IG) and starting the engine after waiting at least 1 second, this item may change to "ON"
      Front Radar-Incorrect Axial Gap (Vertical) History Millimeter wave radar sensor assembly vertical misalignment history ON or OFF ON: History of vertical misalignment
      OFF: No history of vertical misalignment      		 "ON" if the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly has been in the following condition in the past
      • When the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly detects beam axis misalignment
      NOTE:
      • When the "Pre-Collision System Unavailable" message is displayed and "Front Radar-Incorrect Axial Gap (Vertical) History": "ON" is output, the millimeter wave radar may be automatically performing calibration of the beam axis misalignment.

        In this case, the display turns off when the beam axis adjustment is performed.

      • Automatic calibration is complete when the "Pre-Collision System Unavailable" message turns off.
      • After beam axis adjustment or automatic calibration completes, clear the "Front Radar-Incorrect Axial Gap (Vertical) History" history.
      Front Radar-Incorrect Axial Gap (Horizontal) History Millimeter wave radar sensor assembly horizontal misalignment history ON or OFF ON: History of horizontal misalignment
      OFF: No history of horizontal misalignment      		 "ON" if the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly has been in the following condition in the past
      • When the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly detects beam axis misalignment
      Front Recognition Camera-Blockage History Forward recognition camera obstruction history ON or OFF ON: History of being obstructed
      OFF: No history of being obstructed      		 "ON" if the forward recognition camera has been in one of the following conditions in the past
      • Dirt or foreign matter (including fog, condensation, ice, etc.) was attached to area around the forward recognition camera
      • The forward recognition camera cannot recognize conditions around the vehicle due to darkness, backlight, snow, fog, etc.

      If "ON", "Front Camera Unavailable See Owner's service information" was displayed on the multi-information display in the past
      Front Recognition Camera-Malfunction History Forward recognition camera system unavailable history ON or OFF ON: History of unavailable
      OFF: No history of unavailable      		 "ON" if the forward recognition camera has been in one of the following conditions in the past
      • When the ambient temperature is approximately -30°C or less
      • When the ambient temperature is approximately 85°C or higher
      • When the input voltage is approximately 8 V or less
      • When the input voltage is approximately 16 V or higher
      • When the forward recognition camera temporarily stops recognition

  2. ACTIVE TEST 

    HINT: 

    Using the Techstream to perform Active Tests allows relays, VSVs, actuators and other items to be operated without removing any parts. This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. Performing Active Tests early in troubleshooting is one way to save diagnostic time. Data List information can be displayed while performing Active Tests.

    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Collision 2 / Active Test.
    5. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.
      BODY ELECTRICAL > PRE-COLLISION 2 > ACTIVE TEST

    6. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test.
    7. Perform the Active Test according to the display on the Techstream.
