Drive Mode Select Switch Circuit [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

1. Check each symptom by checking the suspected areas in the table below.

   Result

   SPORT, SPORT S/S+ mode or NORMAL mode is abnormal.	A

1. Check for DTCs.

   Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [10/2015 - 09/2016] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [09/2016 - 09/2017] , or refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [09/2017 - ]

   CAN communication system DTCs are not output.	A
   CAN communication system DTCs are output.	B

GO TO CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM. Refer to  HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING [10/2015 - ]

1. Turn the engine switch off.
2. Disconnect the drive mode select switch (combination switch assembly) connector.

3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Condition	Specified Condition
   K24-4 (GND) - Body ground	Always	Below 1 Ω

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

Result: 

OK

1. Inspect drive mode select switch (combination switch assembly).

   Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

   OK

   Drive mode select switch (combination switch assembly) is normal.

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG

Result: 

NG 

REPLACE DRIVE MODE SELECT SWITCH (COMBINATION SWITCH ASSEMBLY). Refer to  REMOVAL [10/2015 - ] 

Result: 

OK

1. Reconnect the K24 drive mode select switch (combination switch assembly) connector.
2. Disconnect the ECM connector.

3. Measure the resistance according to the value (s) in the table below.

   Standard Resistance

   Tester Connection	Switch Condition	Specified Condition
   A12-21 (PWMS) - Body ground	SPORT mode switch being turned and held	Below 50 Ω
   A12-21 (PWMS) - Body ground	SPORT mode switch not turned	10 kΩ or higher
   A12-25 (SPCN) - Body ground	NORMAL mode switch being pushed and held	Below 50 Ω
   A12-25 (SPCN) - Body ground	NORMAL mode switch not pushed	10 kΩ or higher

   Result

   Proceed to
   OK
   NG
