Removal [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM SIDE COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. REMOVE V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. REMOVE AIR CLEANER CAP AND HOSE 

    See step  5

  5. DISCONNECT ENGINE WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the 3 connectors and detach the wire harness clamp.

    2. Remove the bolt and disconnect the engine wire from the cylinder head LH.
    3. Disconnect the 3 connectors and detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    4. Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the engine wire from the cylinder head cover sub-assembly LH.
  6. REMOVE VVT SENSOR (for Intake Side of Bank 1) 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the VVT sensor.

    2. Remove the bolt and VVT sensor.
  7. REMOVE VVT SENSOR (for Exhaust Side of Bank 1) 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the VVT sensor.

    2. Remove the bolt and VVT sensor.
  8. REMOVE VVT SENSOR (for Intake Side of Bank 2) 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the VVT sensor.

    2. Remove the bolt and VVT sensor.
  9. REMOVE VVT SENSOR (for Exhaust Side of Bank 2) 
    1. Disconnect the connector from the VVT sensor.

    2. Remove the bolt and VVT sensor.
