Installation [10/2015 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  2. INSTALL ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  3. INSTALL IGNITION COIL ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  4. INSTALL FUEL INJECTOR SEAL 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  5. INSTALL FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY (for Direct Injection) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  6. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE RH 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  7. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE ASSEMBLY LH (FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  8. INSTALL NO. 2 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 5

  9. SET FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  10. TEMPORARILY INSTALL NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  11. INSTALL FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  12. INSTALL NO. 1 FUEL PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 4

  13. INSTALL INTAKE MANIFOLD 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  14. INSTALL FUEL INJECTOR ASSEMBLY (for Port Injection) 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  15. INSTALL FUEL DELIVERY PIPE SUB-ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  16. INSTALL WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

    *a Front Side *b Upper Side
    *c Rear Side *d for 2WD
    Bolt Nut
    V-bank Cover Bracket - -
    1. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the V-bank cover bracket.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Install the V-bank cover bracket.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    3. Install the wire harness clamp bracket with the nut.

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

    4. for AWD:

      Install the 15 wire harness clamp brackets with the 15 bolts.

      for Bolt A 

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      for Bolt B 

      Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

      for Bolt C 

      Torque: 29 N*m (296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf) 

    5. for 2WD:

      Install the 16 wire harness clamp brackets with the 16 bolts.

      for Bolt A 

      Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf) 

      for Bolt B 

      Torque: 12 N*m (122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf) 

      for Bolt C 

      Torque: 29 N*m (296 kgf*cm, 21 ft.*lbf) 

  17. INSTALL ENGINE WIRE 
  18. INSTALL NO. 11 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Install the No. 11 water by-pass hose and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.
  19. INSTALL NO. 10 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Install the No. 10 water by-pass hose and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.
  20. INSTALL NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS PIPE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the No. 2 water by-pass pipe assembly to the rear water by-pass joint and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.
    2. Install the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 21 N*m (214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf) 

  21. INSTALL WATER INLET CAP 
    1. Install the water inlet cap and slide the hose clamp to secure the cap.
  22. INSTALL WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Install the water by-pass hose and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.
  23. INSTALL NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the No. 2 water by-pass hose assembly and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.
    2. Connect the 3 clamps.
  24. INSTALL NO. 3 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Install the No. 3 water by-pass hose and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.
  25. INSTALL NO. 2 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Install the No. 2 water by-pass hose and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.
  26. INSTALL NO. 6 WATER BY-PASS HOSE 
    1. Install the No. 6 water by-pass hose and slide the hose clamp to secure the hose.
  27. INSTALL V-RIBBED BELT TENSIONER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the V-ribbed belt tensioner assembly with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N*m (438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

  28. INSTALL NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Install the No. 2 idler pulley sub-assembly with the bolt.

      Torque: 43 N*m (438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

  29. INSTALL NO. 1 COMPRESSOR MOUNTING BRACKET 
    1. Install the No. 1 compressor mounting bracket with the 2 bolts.

      Torque: 45 N*m (459 kgf*cm, 33 ft.*lbf) 

  30. INSTALL COOLER COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY 
  31. INSTALL GENERATOR ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 1

  32. INSTALL FAN AND GENERATOR V BELT 

    See step  1

  33. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET LH 
    1. Install the front No. 1 engine mounting bracket LH with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N*m (438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

  34. INSTALL FRONT NO. 1 ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET RH 
    1. Install the front No. 1 engine mounting bracket RH with the 4 bolts.

      Torque: 43 N*m (438 kgf*cm, 32 ft.*lbf) 

  35. INSTALL INTAKE AIR SURGE TANK ASSEMBLY 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 7
