- CHECK WINDOW LOCK SWITCH
- Turn the engine switch is on (IG).
- Press the window lock switch of the multiplex network master switch assembly.
HINT:
The illumination (LED) built into the switch knob of each seat does not turn off.
- Check that the power window for each seat except the driver seat can no longer be operated.
- Check that the power window for each seat cannot be operated from the driver seat.
- Press the window lock switch of the multiplex network master switch assembly again.
- Check that the power window for each seat except the driver seat can be operated.
- Check that the power window for each seat can be operated from the driver seat.
- CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION
- Check that the driver side power window operates as follows:OK

- CHECK JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION
- Check the basic function.WARNING:
- The jam protection function is operative during both the auto up and manual up operation.
- Do not put your fingers between the door frame and door glass to check functions. Also, prevent any part of your body from being caught during inspection.
HINT:
The jam protection function is operative during both the auto up and manual up operation while the engine is running or the engine switch is turned to on (IG), and also for 43 seconds after the engine switch is turned off.
- Fully open the window.
- Set a check jig wrapped with a piece of cloth near the window fully closed position.TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION
*1 Check Jig *2 Cloth - Operate the auto up or manual up function to check that the power window stops and goes down after the check jig is caught between the window and door frame, and stops when the opening reaches approximately 200 mm (7.87 in.) or until approximately 5 seconds elapse.
HINT:
If the check jig is caught when the opening is approximately 75 mm (2.95 in.) or more, the power window goes down for approximately 125 mm (4.93 in.) or until approximately 2.5 seconds elapse.
- While the power window is moving down, check that the door glass cannot be moved up even when the power window regulator switch is used.
- Check the basic function.
- CHECK CATCH PROTECTION FUNCTION
- Check the basic operation.
HINT:
The catch protection function operates when the engine switch is on (IG), and when auto down and manual down are operated after the engine switch is turned off.
- Fully close all door windows.
- While using auto down or manual down to open the window, grasp the upper edge of the door glass with one or two hands and check that the door glass operation stops.
HINT:
After the catch protection function operates when an auto down or manual down operation is performed, the catch protection function will not operate when the manual down operation is performed again within approximately 4 seconds.
- Check the basic operation.
- CHECK KEY-OFF OPERATION FUNCTION
- Check that all the power windows can be operated with the multiplex network master switch after the engine switch is turned off.
- Check that the key-off operation function does not operate after a front door is opened.
- Check that none of the power windows can be operated after more than approximately 43 seconds have elapsed since the engine switch was turned off.
- CHECK KEY-LINKED FUNCTION USING DRIVER SIDE DOOR KEY CYLINDER
HINT:
This inspection is possible only when the key-linked open and close function is set to ON through the customize function using the Techstream (the default setting is OFF).
- Check that all power windows operate as follows:OK

- Check that all power windows operate as follows:
- CHECK WIRELESS TRANSMITTER-LINKED FUNCTION
HINT:
This inspection is possible only when the wireless transmitter-linked open and close function is set to ON through the customize function using the Techstream (the default setting is OFF).
- CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH LED ILLUMINATION
- Check the LED illumination (multiplex network master switch assembly).
- Check that the LEDs located on the multiplex network master switch assembly illuminate when the engine switch is turned on (IG).
- Check the LED illumination (front power window regulator switch assembly RH).
- Check that the LED located on the power window regulator switch assembly (for front passenger side) illuminates when the engine switch is turned on (IG).
HINT:
If the window lock switch is on, the LED located on the power window regulator switch assembly (for front passenger side) does not illuminate. Therefore, turn the window lock switch off before checking the LED illumination.
- Check that the LED located on the power window regulator switch assembly (for front passenger side) illuminates when the engine switch is turned on (IG).
- Check the LED illumination (rear power window regulator switch assembly LH and rear power window regulator motor switch assembly RH).
- Check that the LED located on rear power window regulator switch assembly LH and rear power window regulator motor switch assembly RH illuminates when the engine switch is turned on (IG).
HINT:
If the window lock switch is on, the LEDs located on the power window regulator switch assemblies (rear power window regulator switch assembly LH and rear power window regulator motor switch assembly RH) do not illuminate. Therefore, turn the window lock switch off before checking the LED illumination.
- Check that the LED located on rear power window regulator switch assembly LH and rear power window regulator motor switch assembly RH illuminates when the engine switch is turned on (IG).
- Check the LED illumination (multiplex network master switch assembly).
