Operation Check [09/2014 - 10/2015]

  1. CHECK WINDOW LOCK SWITCH 

    HINT: 

    Before performing the window lock switch operation check, make sure that the window lock switch is off (the switch is not pushed in).

    1. Check that the front passenger side power window and rear power windows cannot be operated when the window lock switch of the multiplex network master switch is pressed.

      OK

      Operation of front passenger side power window and rear power windows is disabled.

    2. Check that the front passenger side power window and rear power windows can be operated when the window lock switch is pressed again.

      OK

      Front passenger side power window and rear power windows can be operated.

  2. CHECK MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION 
    1. Check that the driver side power window operates as follows:
      OK

      Condition Multiplex Network Master Switch Switch Operation Power Window Operation
      Engine switch on (IG) Driver side Pulled halfway up Up (Closes)
      Pushed halfway down Down (Opens)
    2. Check that the front passenger side window and rear power windows operate as follows:
      OK

      • Window lock switch off

      Pushed halfway down Down (Opens)

  3. CHECK AUTO UP/DOWN FUNCTION 
    1. Check that the driver side power window operates as follows:
      OK

      Pushed down (One touch operation) Auto down (Opens)
    2. Check that the front passenger side window and rear power windows operate as follows:
      OK

  4. CHECK REMOTE MANUAL UP/DOWN FUNCTION 
    1. Check that the front passenger side window and rear power windows operate as follows:
      OK

  5. CHECK REMOTE AUTO UP/DOWN FUNCTION 
    1. Check that the front passenger side window and rear power windows operate as follows:
      OK

      • Engine switch on (IG)
      • Window lock switch off
      Front passenger side Pulled up (One touch operation) Auto up (Closes)

  6. CHECK JAM PROTECTION FUNCTION 
    1. Check the basic function.
      WARNING:
      • The jam protection function is operative during both the auto up and manual up operation.
      • Do not put your fingers between the door frame and door glass to check functions. Also, prevent any part of your body from being caught during inspection.

      HINT: 

      The jam protection function is operative during both the auto up and manual up operation while the engine is running or the engine switch is turned to on (IG), and also for 43 seconds after the engine switch is turned off.

      1. Fully open the window.
      2. Set a check jig wrapped with a piece of cloth near the window fully closed position.

      3. Operate the auto up or manual up function to check that the power window stops and goes down after the check jig is caught between the window and door frame, and stops when the opening reaches approximately 200 mm (7.87 in.) or until approximately 5 seconds elapse.

        HINT: 

        If the check jig is caught when the opening is approximately 75 mm (2.95 in.) or more, the power window goes down for approximately 125 mm (4.93 in.) or until approximately 2.5 seconds elapse.

      4. While the power window is moving down, check that the door glass cannot be moved up even when the power window regulator switch is used.
  7. CHECK KEY-OFF OPERATION FUNCTION 
    1. Check that all the power windows can be operated with the multiplex network master switch after the engine switch is turned off.
    2. Check that the key-off operation function does not operate after a front door is opened.
    3. Check that none of the power windows can be operated after more than approximately 43 seconds have elapsed since the engine switch was turned off.
  8. CHECK KEY-LINKED FUNCTION USING DRIVER SIDE DOOR KEY CYLINDER 

    HINT: 

    This inspection is possible only when the key-linked open and close function is set to ON through the customize function using the Techstream (the default setting is OFF).

    1. Check that all power windows operate as follows:
      OK

      Condition Door Key Cylinder Operation Power Window
      No key is inside vehicle and all doors are closed Held in lock position for more than 2.3 seconds Up (Closes)
      Returned to neutral position Stops
      Held in unlock position for more than 2.3 seconds Down (Opens)
      Returned to neutral position Stop
  9. CHECK WIRELESS TRANSMITTER-LINKED FUNCTION 

    HINT: 

    This inspection is possible only when the wireless transmitter-linked open and close function is set to ON through the customize function using the Techstream (the default setting is OFF).

    1. Check that all power windows operate as follows when operating the transmitter:
      OK

      Condition Transmitter Operation Power Window
      No key is inside vehicle, and all doors are closed and locked UNLOCK switch pressed for more than 3.0 seconds Down (Opens)
      UNLOCK switch released Stops
  10. CHECK POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH LED ILLUMINATION 
    1. Check the LED illumination (multiplex network master switch assembly).
      1. Check that the LEDs located on the multiplex network master switch assembly illuminate when the engine switch is turned on (IG).
    2. Check the LED illumination (front power window regulator switch assembly RH).
      1. Check that the LED located on the power window regulator switch assembly (for front passenger side) illuminates when the engine switch is turned on (IG).

        HINT: 

        If the window lock switch is on, the LED located on the power window regulator switch assembly (for front passenger side) does not illuminate. Therefore, turn the window lock switch off before checking the LED illumination.

    3. Check the LED illumination (rear power window regulator switch assembly LH and rear power window regulator motor switch assembly RH).
      1. Check that the LED located on rear power window regulator switch assembly LH and rear power window regulator motor switch assembly RH illuminates when the engine switch is turned on (IG).

        HINT: 

        If the window lock switch is on, the LEDs located on the power window regulator switch assemblies (rear power window regulator switch assembly LH and rear power window regulator motor switch assembly RH) do not illuminate. Therefore, turn the window lock switch off before checking the LED illumination.
