Certification ECU Communication Stop Mode [08/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (CERTIFICATION ECU BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Turn the power switch off.
    2. Disconnect the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      H1-9 (CANH) - H1-10 (CANL) Power switch off 54 to 69 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Certification ECU)

    Result:  NG

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (CERTIFICATION ECU) 

    Result:  OK

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H1-15 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      H1-1 (+B) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      H1-16 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      (to Certification ECU)

    Result:  OK

    OK 

    REPLACE SMART KEY ECU ASSEMBLY (CERTIFICATION ECU)

    Result:  NG

    NG 

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)
