Millimeter Wave Radar Sensor Power Source Circuit [08/2013 - ]: Procedure
- CHECK MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (POWER SOURCE)
- Disconnect the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition B9-5 (IGB) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION*1 Front view of wire harness connector
(to Millimeter Wave Radar Sensor Assembly) - Reconnect the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.
NG → See step 4
OK: Go to next step
- Disconnect the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY - ECM)
- Disconnect the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.
- Disconnect the ECM connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (Check for Open)

- Reconnect the ECM connector.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY - ECM)
OK: Go to next step
- Disconnect the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (Check for Open)

(to Millimeter Wave Radar Sensor Assembly) - Reconnect the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)
OK → See step 5
- Disconnect the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR - DISTANCE CONTROL ECU)
- Disconnect the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.
- Disconnect the distance control ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance (Check for Open)
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition B9-5 (IGB) - J17-13 (IGB) Always Below 1 Ω Standard Resistance (Check for Short)

- Reconnect the distance control ECU connector.
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR - DISTANCE CONTROL ECU)
OK → See step 6
- Disconnect the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.
- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [08/2013 - ]
- REPLACE DISTANCE CONTROL ECU. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2013 - ]
