Multi-media Module Receiver Assembly Communication Stop Mode [08/2014 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the H97 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H97-1 (CANH) - H97-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Multi-media Module Receiver Assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H97-12 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) battery terminal Below 1 Ω
    2. Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H97-16 (ACC1) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      H97-17 (+B1) - Body ground Engine switch off 11 to 14 V
      H97-15 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      OK (for Navigation Receiver Type) A
      OK (for Radio and Display Type (w/ Parking Assist Monitor System with Parallel Parking Assist Function)) B
      NG C

    C → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT)

  3. REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2014 - ] 
  4. REPLACE MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2014 - ]
