Radio Receiver Assembly Communication Stop Mode [12/2013 - ]: Procedure

  1. CHECK VEHICLE TYPE 
    1. Check vehicle type.
      Result Proceed to
      for navigation receiver type w/ navigation system A
      for navigation receiver type w/o navigation system B
      for radio and display type C

    B → See step   4 

    C → See step   6 

    A: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the H140 radio receiver assembly connector.

      (to Radio Receiver Assembly)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H140-1 (CANH) - H140-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H140-12 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω

      (to Radio Receiver Assembly)
    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H140-15 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      H140-16 (ACC1) - Body ground Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      H140-17 (+B1) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    OK → See step   9 

  4. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the H140 radio receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H140-1 (CANH) - H140-2 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H140-12 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω

    2. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H140-15 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      H140-16 (ACC1) - Body ground Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      H140-17 (+B1) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    OK → See step   10 

  6. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS LINES (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY BRANCH LINE) 
    1. Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    2. Disconnect the H164 radio receiver assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H164-9 (CANH) - H164-10 (CANL) Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BRANCH LINE OR CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Disconnect the H162 radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H162-7 (GND1) - Body ground Cable disconnected from negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal Below 1 Ω

    3. Reconnect the cable to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
    4. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H162-3 (ACC1) - Body ground Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      H162-4 (+B1) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      H164-1 (IG) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    OK → See step   8 

  8. REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2013 - ] 
  9. REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2013 - ] 
  10. REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [12/2013 - ]
