Wiper and Washer Switch Circuit: Procedure
- READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM
- Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the engine switch on (IG).
- Turn the Techstream on.
- Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Switch / Data List.
- Read the display on the Techstream.COMBINATION SWITCH (WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY)

OFF: Wiper switch not in HI- Front Wiper Lo Switch Front wiper LO switch / ON or OFF ON: Front wiper switch in LO
OFF: Wiper switch not in LO- Front Wiper Intermittent Switch*2 Front wiper INT switch / ON or OFF ON: Front wiper switch in INT
OFF: Wiper switch not in INT- Ignition Switch Signal Engine switch signal / ON or OFF ON: Engine switch on (IG)
OFF: Engine switch off- Wiper Volume Position*2 Front wiper volume (sensitivity) / 0 to 90 degrees 0 degrees: FR wiper volume "+" position
27 degrees: Switch is turned one notch towards the "-" side from the FR wiper volume "+" position
63 degrees: Switch is turned one notch towards the "+" side from the FR wiper volume "-" position
90 degrees: FR wiper volume "-" positionIf the value is NG, replace the windshield wiper switch assembly. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2012 - ] . *1: w/ Auto Wiper System

- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)
- Disconnect the J26 windshield wiper switch assembly connector.
- Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

- Disconnect the J26 windshield wiper switch assembly connector.
- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [08/2012 - ]
- REPLACE WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY. Refer to REMOVAL [08/2012 - ]
