Cellular Phone cannot Make Outgoing/Incoming Calls: Procedure

  1. CHECK "Bluetooth" SETTINGS 
    1. Check if the cellular phone is registered as a connected device and the "Bluetooth" settings are correct.

      OK

      The cellular phone is registered as a connected device and "Bluetooth" settings are correct.

    NG → SET SETTINGS CORRECTLY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK SETTINGS AND CONDITIONS 
    1. Check the cellular phone functions.

      HINT: 

      The cellular phone is unable to call under any of the following conditions:

      • The cellular phone is locked.
      • The phonebook is being transferred.
      • The line is crossed.
      • The cellular phone is outside service range.
      • The power is off.
      • The battery is low.
      • The cellular phone is not connected via "Bluetooth".

      OK

      None of the above conditions exist.

    NG → SET CORRECTLY 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK RECEPTION 
    1. Place the cellular phone close to the multimedia module receiver assembly.
    2. Set the cellular phone so that it can receive calls.
    3. Check if the cellular phone has reception according to the multimedia module receiver assembly.

      OK

      The cellular phone has reception.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK → END 

  4. CHECK CELLULAR PHONE 
    1. Check if the cellular phone can make a call.

      HINT: 

      The purpose of this step is to inspect the cellular phone when it is not connected to the vehicle.

      OK

      Cellular phone can make a call.

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CELLULAR PHONE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  5. RESTART CELLULAR PHONE 
    1. Restart the cellular phone.
    2. Register the cellular phone as a connected device again and check that the malfunction disappears.

      OK

      Malfunction disappears.

    NG → See step   6 

    OK → END 

  6. CHECK CELLULAR PHONE 
    1. Check if the cellular phone is "Bluetooth" compatible.

      HINT: 

      Some versions of "Bluetooth" compatible cellular phones may not function.

      OK

      The phone is "Bluetooth" compatible.

    NG → END (ONLY A "Bluetooth" COMPATIBLE CELLULAR PHONE CAN BE USED) 

    OK → See step   7
