Cellular Phone Registration Failure, Phonebook Transfer Failure: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPERATION 
    1. Place the cellular phone close to the multimedia module receiver assembly.
    2. Check if the cellular phone can be registered.

      OK

      The cellular phone can be registered.

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → NORMAL OPERATION 

  2. CHECK CURRENT CONDITIONS 
    1. Proceed to the next step according to the table below.

      Result

      Result Proceed to
      Another "Bluetooth" compatible cellular phone is available. A
      Another "Bluetooth" compatible vehicle is available. B
      None of the above C

    A: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK USING ANOTHER CELLULAR PHONE 
    1. Check if the system functions using another "Bluetooth" compatible cellular phone.

      HINT: 

      • Confirm that either the same or a different version of another "Bluetooth" compatible cellular phone complies with the system.
      • Depending on the version, some "Bluetooth" compatible cellular phones cannot be used.

      OK

      The system functions.

    NG → See step   6 

    OK → USE A "Bluetooth" COMPATIBLE CELLULAR PHONE 

  4. CHECK USING ANOTHER "Bluetooth" COMPATIBLE VEHICLE 
    1. Register the cellular phone with another vehicle and check if the system functions normally.

      HINT: 

      Depending on the version, some "Bluetooth" compatible cellular phones cannot be used.

      OK

      The system functions.

    NG → ASK CUSTOMER TO UPDATE CELLULAR PHONE OR CHANGE IT TO A "Bluetooth" COMPATIBLE MODEL 

    OK → See step   6 

  5. CHECK CELLULAR PHONE 
    1. Check if a call can be made from the cellular phone.

      HINT: 

      The cellular phone is unable to call under any of the following conditions:

      • The cellular phone is locked.
      • The phonebook is being transferred.
      • The line is crossed.
      • The cellular phone is outside service range.
      • The power is off.
      • The battery is low.
      • The cellular phone is not connected via "Bluetooth".

      OK

      A call can be made from the cellular phone.

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CELLULAR PHONE 

    OK → See step   6
