DTC B2602: Key Unlock Warning Switch Circuit Malfunction; DTC B2606: Key Code Confirm Signal Malfunction: Procedure

HINT: 

The power tilt & power telescopic steering column system uses the multiplex communication system, so check its diagnostic system before proceeding to troubleshooting.

1. Check if DTC B2621 is output.

   Result

   DTC Condition	Proceed to
   No output	A
   B2621 is output	B

   HINT: 

   • If DTC B2621 besides B2602 and B2606 are output, perform troubleshooting for B2621 first.
   • DTC B2621 indicates a communication interruption for the power tilt & power telescopic steering column system.

B → REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT CODE 

A: Go to next step 

1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
3. Turn the Techstream on.
4. Check the communication state of the Techstream. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Tilt&Telescopic / Data List.

   "ON" is displayed.

NG → CHECK SMART ACCESS SYSTEM WITH PUSH-BUTTON START 

OK: Go to next step 

1. Clear the DTC.
2. Check for DTCs.

   OK

   DTC B2602 and/or B2606 is not output.

NG → REPLACE MULTIPLEX TILT & TELESCOPIC ECU 

OK → END
