4WD Control ECU Communication Stop Mode: Description

Detection Item Symptom Trouble Area
4WD Control ECU Communication Stop Mode Either condition is met:
  • "Four Wheel Drive Control" is not displayed on the "CAN Bus Check" screen of the Techstream. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [08/2012 - ] 
  • Communication system DTCs (DTCs that start with U) that are output correspond to "4WD Control ECU Communication Stop Mode" in "DTC Combination Table". Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM [08/2012 - ] 
  • Power source circuit of the 4WD control ECU
  • 4WD control ECU branch line or connector
  • 4WD ECU ground circuit
  • 4WD control ECU

HINT: 

"Four Wheel Drive Control" refers to the circuit that includes the 4WD control ECU.
