One of the Data List items has a count of 1 or more. A
      Other than above B

      HINT:

When there is a decrease or increase in power source voltage, or during overheating prevention, VGRS system operation stops temporarily.

    B → See step   9

    A: Go to next step

  4. CUSTOMER PROBLEM ANALYSIS
    1. Check if operation stopped under harsh conditions, such as the steering wheel being repeatedly turned while the vehicle is stationary.
      RESULT

      Result Proceed to
Operation stopped under conditions that are not harsh A
Operation stopped under harsh conditions B

      HINT:

When the torque load is large, such as when driving on rough road, VGRS system operation stops to protect the system.

    B → See step   7

    A: Go to next step

  5. CHECK STEERING EFFORT
    1. Check the steering torque when the steering wheel is turned with the vehicle stopped. Refer to ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION [12/2011 - ] .

      OK

      The steering torque is normal.

      HINT:

When the steering effort is large, VGRS system operation stops to protect the system.

    NG → See step   11

    OK: Go to next step

  6. CHECK STEERING ACTUATOR ASSEMBLY
    1. Check for abnormal noise or vibration in the steering actuator assembly.
