Washer Signal Circuit: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPERATION 
    1. Check the operation of the front wiper and washer system.

      OK

      Front wiper and washer system operates normally.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WIPER SWITCH ASSEMBLY - HEADLIGHT CLEANER CONTROL RELAY) 
    1. Disconnect the A43 headlight cleaner control relay connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A43-5 (FRWA) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG)
      Front washer switch off      		 11 to 14 V
      Engine switch on (IG)
      Front washer switch on      		 Below 1 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [06/2012 - ]  
  4. GO TO PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE [06/2012 - ]
