Combination Meter ECU Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK CAN BUS LINE FOR DISCONNECTION (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY MAIN LINE) 
    1. Turn the power switch off.
    2. Disconnect the combination meter assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      H19-32 (CANH) - H19-31 (CANL) Power switch off 108 to 132 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Combination Meter Assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN MAIN BUS LINE OR CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      H19-33 (EP) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      TEXT IN ILLUSTRATION

      *a Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Combination Meter Assembly)
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      H19-21 (IG2) - Body ground Power switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      H19-22 (B) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL [08/2012 - ]
