      Standard resistance

Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      3 (UP) - 5 (E) UP ON (Pushed) Below 200 Ω
UP OFF (Not pushed) 1 MΩ or higher
      7 (DOWN) - 5 (E) DOWN ON (Pushed) Below 200 Ω
DOWN OFF (Not pushed) 1 MΩ or higher
      2 (B) - 5 (E) CLEANER ON (Pushed) Below 200 Ω
CLEANER OFF (Not pushed) 1 MΩ or higher

If the result is not as specified, replace the rheostat.

    2. Inspect the switch illumination.
      1. Apply battery voltage between the terminals of the light, and check the operation of the rheostat.

        Measurement Condition Specified Condition
        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 8 (ILL+)
        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 6 (ILL-)
        LED illuminates
        NOTE:
        • If the positive (+) lead and the negative (-) lead are incorrectly connected, the LED will not illuminate.
        • If the voltage is too low, the LED will not illuminate.
