On-Vehicle Inspection
- REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 1
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL WARNING: Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.NOTE: w/ Navigation System (for HDD):
After the engine switch is turned off, the display and navigation module display (HDD navigation system) records various types of memory and settings. As a result, after turning the engine switch off, be sure to wait for the time specified in the following table before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Waiting Time before Disconnecting Cable from Negative (-) Battery Terminal
Condition Waiting Time Vehicle enrolled in safety connect system 6 minutes Vehicle not enrolled in safety connect system 1 minute - REMOVE SUSPENSION CONTROL RELAY (A/SUS)
- Remove the suspension control relay from the engine room No. 1 relay block.
- INSPECT SUSPENSION CONTROL RELAY
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition 3 - 5 When battery voltage is not applied to terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher When battery voltage is applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω If the result is not as specified, replace the suspension control relay.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- INSTALL SUSPENSION CONTROL RELAY
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- INSTALL COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER RH . Refer to INSTALLATION - Step 11
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION
- Perform initialization. Refer to INITIALIZATION
.NOTE: Certain systems need to be initialized after disconnecting and reconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Perform initialization. Refer to INITIALIZATION

- CHECK SRS WARNING LIGHT
- Check the SRS warning light. Refer to DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM .
