ECU Power Source Circuit: Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (WIP) 
    1. Remove the WIP fuse form the engine room No. 2 relay block.
    2. Measure the resistance of the fuse.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      WIP fuse Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPLACE FUSE 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT LIGHT ECU - BATTERY) 
    1. Disconnect the A51 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A51-2 (WIG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
      A51-2 (WIG) - Body ground Engine switch off Below 1 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT LIGHT ECU - BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the A50 ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A50-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
