DVD Image Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Multi-display: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY) 
    1. Disconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the display and navigation module display connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J106-8 (NTSC) - J102-9 (VV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      J106-22 (GND) - J102-20 (VV-) Always Below 1 Ω
      J106-8 (NTSC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J106-22 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      J106-7 (SLD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Reconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Measure the waveform according to the table below.

      Item Content
      Measurement terminal J106-8 (NTSC) - Body ground
      Measurement setting 200 mV/DIV. 10 μs/DIV.
      Condition DVD display is on
      NOTE:

      The video waveform changes according to the image output from the radio receiver assembly to the display and navigation module display, but the synchronization signal does not change.

    NG → See step   3 

    OK → See step   4 

  3. REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  4. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
