Sound Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Stereo Jack Adapter: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - NO. 1 STEREO JACK ADAPTER ASSEMBLY) 
    1. Disconnect the No. 1 stereo jack adapter assembly and radio receiver assembly connectors.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z7-9 (AUXO) - J108-19 (AUXI) Always Below 1 Ω
      z7-8 (ASGN) - J108-16 (ASGN) Always Below 1 Ω
      z7-6 (ARO) - J108-15 (ARI) Always Below 1 Ω
      z7-7 (ALO) - J108-17 (ALI) Always Below 1 Ω
      z7-10 (AGND) - J108-18 (AGND) Always Below 1 Ω
      z7-9 (AUXO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      z7-8 (ASGN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      z7-6 (ARO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      z7-7 (ALO) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      z7-10 (AGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      (to Radio Receiver Assembly)
      *2 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to No. 1 Stereo Jack Adapter Assembly)

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
