Tilt and Telescopic Manual Switch Circuit: Procedure

  1. READ VALUE USING TECHSTREAM (COMBINATION SWITCH) 
    1. Connect the Techstream to the DLC3.
    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).
    3. Turn the Techstream on.
    4. Check the tilt and telescopic manual switch. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Switch / Data List.
      COMBINATION SWITCH

      Tester Display Measurement Item/Range Normal Condition Diagnostic Note
      Telesc Short SW Telescopic SHORT switch status / OFF or ON OFF: Telescopic short is not activated by manual switch
      ON: Telescopic short is activated by manual switch      		 -
      Telesc Long SW Telescopic LONG switch status / OFF or ON OFF: Telescopic long is not activated by manual switch
      ON: Telescopic long is activated by manual switch      		 -
      Tilt Down SW Tilt DOWN switch status / OFF or ON OFF: Tilt down is not activated by manual switch
      ON: Tilt down is activated by manual switch      		 -
      Tilt Up SW Tilt UP switch status / OFF or ON OFF: Tilt up is not activated by manual switch
      ON: Tilt up is activated by manual switch      		 -

      OK

      "ON" is displayed on the Techstream screen when each switch is turned on.

      "OFF" is displayed on the Techstream screen when each switch is turned off.

    NG → REPLACE TILT & TELESCOPIC SWITCH 

    OK → PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
