Some satellite radio broadcasts require payment. A contract must be made between a satellite radio company and the user. If the contract expires, the broadcast will not be able to be listened to or viewed.

After replacing the radio receiver assembly of vehicles subscribed to pay-type satellite radio broadcasts, the XM Radio ID registration is necessary.
