DCM Data Signal Circuit between Navigation ECU and DCM (08/2010 - 08/2011): Procedure

  1. CHECK NO. 1 NAVIGATION WIRE 
    1. Disconnect the P7 DCM (Telematics Transceiver) connector.

    2. Disconnect the F56 display and navigation module display connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P7-1-1 (USB-) - F56-1-1 (USB-) Always Below 1 Ω
      P7-1-2 (USB+) - F56-1-2 (USB+) Always Below 1 Ω
      P7-1-3 (USBS) - F56-1-3 (USBS) Always Below 1 Ω
      P7-2 (USBG) - F56-2 (USBG) Always Below 1 Ω
      P7-3 (VOT+) - F56-7 (VOR+) Always Below 1 Ω
      P7-4 (USBV) - P56-4 (USBV) Always Below 1 Ω
      P7-5 (VOT-) - F56-6 (VOR-) Always Below 1 Ω
      P7-6 (VOR-) - F56-5 (VOT-) Always Below 1 Ω
      P7-7 (VOR+) - F56-3 (VOT+) Always Below 1 Ω
      P7-1-1 (USB-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P7-1-2 (USB+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P7-1-3 (USBS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P7-2 (USBG) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P7-3 (VOT+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P7-4 (USBV) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P7-5 (VOT-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P7-6 (VOR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      P7-7 (VOR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      *1 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to DCM (Telematics Transceiver))
      *2 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Display and Navigation Module Display)

    NG → REPLACE NO. 1 NAVIGATION WIRE 

    OK → See step   2 

  2. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
