Display does not Dim when Light Control Switch is Turned ON: Procedure

  1. CHECK IMAGE QUALITY SETTING 
    1. Enter the display adjustment screen by pressing the "DISP" switch.

    2. Turn the light control switch to the TAIL position.
    3. Check if "Day Mode" on the display adjustment is off.

      OK

      "Day Mode" is off.

    NG → TURN "Day Mode" SETTING OFF 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK VEHICLE SIGNAL 
    1. Enter the "Display Check" mode and select "Vehicle Signal Check". Refer to OPERATION CHECK .

    2. Cover the automatic light control sensor on the instrument panel with a cloth.
    3. Set the instrument panel light control to less than the maximum (to activate the dimmer function that works when the light control switch is in the TAIL position).
    4. Check that the display changes between DIM and BRIGHT according to the light control switch operation.

      OK

      Light Control Switch Display
      TAIL or HEAD DIM
      OFF BRIGHT

      HINT: 

      The display is updated once per second. As a result, it is normal for the display to lag behind the actual switch operation.

    NG → See step   3 

    OK → See step   4 

  3. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
  4. REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY. Refer to  REMOVAL
