DVD Image Signal Circuit between Radio Receiver and Multi-display: Procedure

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY) 
    1. Disconnect the L113 radio receiver assembly connector.
    2. Disconnect the L114 display and navigation module display connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L113-8 (NTSC) - L114-9 (VV+) Always Below 1 Ω
      L113-22 (GND) - L114-20 (VV-) Always Below 1 Ω
      L113-8 (NTSC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L113-22 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      L113-7 (SLD) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY 
    1. Reconnect the L113 radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Measure the waveform according to the table below.

      OK

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L113-8 (NTSC) - Body ground Radio receiver is playing, image is being produced Waveform synchronized with image is output
      NOTE:

      The video waveform changes according to the image output from the radio receiver assembly to display and navigation module display, but the synchronization signal does not change.

    NG → See step   3 

    OK → See step   4 

  3. REPLACE RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  4. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
