Yaw Rate Sensor Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (YAW RATE SENSOR BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.

      *1 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Yaw Rate Sensor)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J91-3 (CANH) - J91-2 (CANL) Engine switch off 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (CANH, CANL) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J91-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J91-4 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR. Refer to  REMOVAL
