Navigation ECU Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN BUS WIRE (NAVIGATION ECU BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Disconnect the display and navigation module display (navigation ECU) connector.

      *1 Front view of wire harness connector
      (to Navigation ECU)
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J50-21 (CANH) - J50-22 (CANL) Engine switch off 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN BUS BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION ECU BRANCH WIRE) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J50-10 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

      (to Navigation ECU)
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      J50-1 (+B1) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      J50-2 (ACC) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      J50-3 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR (POWER SOURCE CIRCUIT) 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY (NAVIGATION ECU). Refer to  REMOVAL
