Section 15 (Cooling System (Service Information)): Thermostat: Installation: Installation

INSTALL THERMOSTAT
1. Install a new gasket to the thermostat.

2. Install the thermostat with the jiggle valve facing up.
  HINT:
  
  The jiggle valve may be set within 10°of either side of the prescribed position.
INSTALL WATER INLET
Torque: 10 N*m (102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf)
INSTALL RADIATOR HOSE OUTLET
INSTALL NO. 2 IDLER PULLEY SUB-ASSEMBLY
INSTALL FAN & GENERATOR V BELT
INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET FRONT NO. 1 LH
INSTALL ENGINE MOUNTING CONTROL BRACKET
INSTALL ENGINE MOVING CONTROL ROD
INSTALL V-BANK COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY
ADD ENGINE COOLANT
INSPECT FOR COOLANT LEAK
