Voice is not Recognized: Procedure

  1. CHECK NAVIGATION SETTING 
    1. Display the "Voice Settings" screen.

    2. Check that "Voice Recognition Guidance" is not "Off".

      OK

      "Voice Recognition Guidance" is not "Off".

    NG → TURN VOICE RECOGNITION GUIDANCE "On" 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK MICROPHONE (OPERATION CHECK) 
    1. Enter the "Microphone & Voice Recognition Check" screen. Refer to Check Mic & Voice Recognition in Operation Check. Refer to OPERATION CHECK .

    2. When voice is input into the microphone, check that the microphone input level meter changes according to the input voice.
    3. Select the recording switch and perform voice recording.

      HINT: 

      • Select the recording switch with the blower motor of the air conditioning system stopped. If an outlet of the air conditioning system is facing the microphone, noise may be recorded.
      • Voice can be recorded up to 5 seconds.
    4. Check that the recording indicator remains on while recording and that the recorded voice is played normally without noise or distortion.

      OK

      All check results are normal.

    NG → See step   4 

    OK: Go to next step 

  3. REPLACE HARD DISK DRIVE 
    1. Replace the hard disk drive. Refer to REMOVAL .
    2. Check that voice recognition is normal.

      OK

      Voice can be recognized normally.

    NG → See step   5 

    OK → END 

  4. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
  5. REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY. Refer to  REMOVAL
