Multi-media Interface ECU Power Source Circuit: Procedure

  1. INSPECT MULTI-MEDIA INTERFACE ECU 
    1. Disconnect the multi-media interface ECU connector.
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U50-12 (+B) - U50-7 (GND) Power switch off 11 to 14 V
      U50-11 (ACC) - U50-7 (GND) Power switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

      (to Multi-media Interface ECU)

    NG → See step   2 

    OK → See step   3 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    1. Disconnect the display and navigation module display connector.
    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U50-11 (ACC) - K103-11 (ACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      U50-12 (+B) - K103-12 (+B) Always Below 1 Ω
      U50-7 (GND) - K103-7 (GND) Always Below 1 Ω
      U50-11 (ACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      U50-12 (+B) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      U50-7 (GND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    3. Proceed to the next step based on the inspection result.

      Result

      Condition Proceed to
      OK (w/ Navigation System) A
      OK (w/o Navigation System) B
      NG C

    B → See step   5 

    C → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    A → See step   4 

  3. PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE 
  4. REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY. Refer to  REMOVAL 
  5. REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY. Refer to  REMOVAL
