System Description

This system lock/unlocks the doors remotely. The wireless door lock control system has the following features:

• The certification ECU performs the code identification process and the main body ECU RH controls the door lock. A serial data link is provided for communication between the certification ECU and main body ECU RH.
• A key-integrated type transmitter is used and it contains the following 4 switches: LOCK switch, UNLOCK switch, LUGGAGE switch and PANIC switch.
• An LED is mounted on the transmitter to show if the battery is depleted.

1. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENTS 

   Component	Function
   Door control transmitter	Contains LOCK, UNLOCK, LUGGAGE and PANIC switches. Transmits weak electric waves (recognition codes and function codes) to door control receiver Illuminates indicator light (LED) during transmission
   Door control receiver	Receives weak electric waves (recognition codes and function codes) from door control transmitter, changes waves to code data
   Front door courtesy light switch Rear door courtesy light switch	Turns on when door is open and off when door is closed. Outputs door status (open or closed) to main body ECU RH
   Door lock position switch	Transmits door lock positions of each door to main body ECU RH
   Certification ECU	Matches code data with registered code and outputs code data to main body ECU RH

2. SYSTEM FUNCTION 
   1. Door lock/unlock function:

      With the power switch OFF and all door courtesy light switches off, pressing the door control transmitter's LOCK/UNLOCK switch causes the transmitter to output weak electric waves, which are then input to the door control receiver. The door control receiver converts these waves into code data (recognition codes and function codes) in its internal high frequency circuit, and outputs its evaluation results to the main body ECU RH. Upon receiving a door locks/unlock request signal, the main body ECU RH outputs a door lock/unlock control signal to each door ECU. Each door ECU outputs a door lock/unlock control signal to each door lock motor. Each door lock then locks/unlocks its door and turn on/off its lock position switch according to the signals.

   2. Answer-back function:

      The main body ECU RH receives the door unlock detection switch's on/off signals and uses these signals to confirm if door control operation has completed. The main body ECU RH then outputs a turn signal light output control signal and the turn signal lights start flashing.

   3. Panic alarm function:

      With the power switch OFF or ON (ACC), press and hold the door control transmitter PANIC switch for 1 second or more. The following occurs: 1) the main body ECU RH activates an interior relay and the security horn sounds, and 2) the alarm control signals of the hazard warning light, vehicle horn, headlights and taillights are sent to each control ECU, starting the theft deterrent alarm.

   4. The wireless door lock control system has the following functions.

      Luggage compartment door open function	Pressing LUGGAGE switch for 0.8 seconds or more opens luggage compartment door
      Power window and sliding roof open function	After locking all doors with door control transmitter operation, pressing UNLOCK switch for 3 seconds or more opens all power windows and sliding roof
      Power window and sliding roof close function	After unlocking all doors with door control transmitter operation, pressing LOCK switch 3 seconds or more closes all power windows and sliding roof
      Answer-back function	When doors are locked, turn signal lights flash once. When doors are unlocked, turn signal lights flash twice and wireless warning buzzer sounds twice When transmitter is used for opening luggage compartment door or opening/closing power windows and sliding roof, this function causes buzzer to sound to indicate that operation has been completed
      Automatic lock function	If no doors are opened within 60 seconds after they are unlocked by wireless door lock remote control, all doors will lock again automatically
      Panic alarm function	Holding down PANIC switch for longer than 1 second sets off theft deterrent alarm (security horn sounds, headlights, and taillights flash)
      Door ajar warning function	If any door is open or ajar, pressing LOCK switch will cause wireless door buzzer to sound for about 10 seconds
      Transmitter recognition code registration function	Enables 7 modes for registering (writing and storing) transmitter recognition codes in EEPROM
