Luggage Compartment Door Entry Unlock Function does not Operate when Key is Outside Luggage Compartment: Description

When the power luggage door open switch is turned ON, the certification ECU uses the luggage electrical key antenna (for outer) and antenna to output a request signal to the outside of the vehicle for a distance of approximately 1.0 m (3.3 ft.) from the luggage compartment door. A key near the luggage compartment door detects this request and transmits its ID code. The entry door control receiver receives the ID code and sends this ID code to the certification ECU. The certification ECU checks if the ID code is valid. When the ID code is valid, the certification ECU sends a luggage compartment door open signal to the main body ECU LH using the multiplex communication line and stops outputting request signals. The luggage room junction block then unlocks the luggage compartment door.
