Yaw Rate Sensor Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK FOR OPEN IN CAN NO. 1 BUS WIRE (YAW RATE SENSOR BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      E88-3 (CANH) - E88-2 (CANL) Engine switch off 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN NO. 1 BUS BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (YAW RATE SENSOR) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (IG, GND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      E88-1 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Value
      E88-5 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 10 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE YAW RATE SENSOR. Refer to  REMOVAL
