Navigation ECU Communication Stop Mode: Procedure
- CHECK OPEN IN CAN NO. 1 BUS WIRE (NAVIGATION ECU BRANCH WIRE)
- Turn the engine switch off.
- Disconnect the display and navigation module display (navigation ECU) connector.
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E62-21 (CANH) - E62-22 (CANL) Engine switch off 54 to 69 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN NO. 1 BUS BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY)
OK: Go to next step
- CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (+B, IG, ACC, GND)
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard Resistance
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E62-10 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω - Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard Voltage
Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition E62-1 (+B1) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V E62-2 (ACC) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V E62-3 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK → See step 3
- Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
- REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY. Refer to REMOVAL
