Navigation ECU Communication Stop Mode: Procedure

  1. CHECK OPEN IN CAN NO. 1 BUS WIRE (NAVIGATION ECU BRANCH WIRE) 
    1. Turn the engine switch off.
    2. Disconnect the display and navigation module display (navigation ECU) connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E62-21 (CANH) - E62-22 (CANL) Engine switch off 54 to 69 Ω

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE CAN NO. 1 BUS BRANCH WIRE OR CONNECTOR (MULTI-DISPLAY) 

    OK: Go to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (+B, IG, ACC, GND) 
    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E62-10 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      E62-1 (+B1) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      E62-2 (ACC) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V
      E62-3 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR 

    OK → See step   3 

  3. REPLACE DISPLAY AND NAVIGATION MODULE DISPLAY. Refer to  REMOVAL
