Cruise Control Main Switch: Removal: Removal

  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    WARNING:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

  2. REMOVE NO. 2 STEERING WHEEL COVER LOWER 
  3. REMOVE SWITCH AND VOLUME CASE

    1. Apply protective tape to the steering wheel boss cover lower as shown in the illustration.
    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the case.

      HINT: 

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE STEERING PAD SWITCH MODULATOR

    1. Remove the 2 screws.
    2. Remove the modulator and then disconnect the connector.
  5. REMOVE STEERING PAD ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 5
  6. REMOVE STEERING WHEEL ASSEMBLY  . Refer to REMOVAL - Step 7
  7. REMOVE CRUISE CONTROL MAIN SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 3 screws.
    2. Reverse the steering wheel and remove the 3 screws.

    3. Remove the steering wheel boss cover lower and switch.
