Pattern Select Switch Power Mode Circuit: Procedure
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (PATTERN SELECT SWITCH - BODY GROUND)

- Disconnect the E11 pattern select switch connector.
- Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Specified Condition E11-3 (E) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK: Go to next step
- INSPECT PATTERN SELECT SWITCH
- Measure the resistance of the switch.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition 3 (E) - 7 (P) Pattern select switch
(PWR)Below 1 Ω 3 (E) - 7 (P) Pattern select switch
(NORM)10 kΩ or higher
NG → See step 5
OK: Go to next step
- Measure the resistance of the switch.
- CHECK WIRE HARNESS (PASSENGER SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK ECU - PATTERN SELECT SWITCH)

- Disconnect the P4 ECU connector.
- Measure the resistance of the passenger side junction block ECU.
Standard resistance
Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition P4-18 (PWR) - Body ground Pattern select switch
(PWR)Below 1 Ω P4-18 (PWR) - Body ground Pattern select switch
(NORM)10 kΩ or higher
NG → REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR
OK → See step 4
- PROCEED TO NEXT SUSPECTED AREA SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE. Refer to PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
- REPLACE PATTERN SELECT SWITCH. Refer to REMOVAL
